This past Sunday evening (Jan. 15), started out with pancakes and icecream. Of course we had a number involved games, but we ended our time with teaching from God’s Word dealing with friendships and how God has made everyone different but with a purpose.

It is so important for our youth to have a social life where the can dicover the pain and joy of learning to get along with others and the important of teamwork.

We had a blast with fifteen kids in active attendance and five adult workers who gave of themeselves for this event to occur.

I was able to give each one who attended a Strategy for the first 57 days of the year.

It began with “Boot Camp”. Seven days of applying principles of the Lord’s Prayer Jesus shared with His disciples concerning how to pray effectively.

Then on January 8th many of you joined Patsy and I concerning 50 Days of Prayer, Purpose, and Power. Each day fasting something that you would crave allowing that craving to bring you to your knees in the presence of God. The sole focus is praying for special needs of others, our church, personal needs and for Our 13th Anniversary with Dr. Gene Syhyuller who will be our quest speaker in the morning and evening celebration.

May we show our seriousness to the things of God through prayer.

Thank God for the Holy Spirit that indwells each believer and points each one of us in the direction we should walk.

Stewardship was a blessing this year as we learned more about what true worship is all about. When you stop and think that the only thing that God cannot give Himself is what each one of us have the opportuinity to give God … and that is WORSHIP.

Worship in reality is service … service of our time, talents, and treasures.

I thank God for all those who gave of themselves during our December 4th Celebration service.

It amazes me each year to see what God can do if we let Him … To God be the glory!

November came in with a blast! Derwin and Alene Hinson was fantastic!!! Nearly 100 was in Worship and over eighty stayed for fellowship and dinner on the grounds.

Thanksgiving Candlelight will definitely go down as a highlight of this year  as Derwin and Alene shared of how “God’s Grace Is Sufficient.” There were forty candles lit as a memorial of honor to loved ones who have gone to be with the Lord of those who were present and involved in lighting a candle. It was a beautiful site to see all the candles held high during the close of the service.
